Democracy and Death of Constable Tomar




गणतन्त्र एक अस्वाभाविक व्यवस्था है। इस व्यवस्था के तहत् हम अपना शाक स्वय चुनते हैं। मनुष्य भूमण्डल क एक मात्र वह प्राणी है जिसे प्रकृति ने सोचने की क्षमता प्रदान की है। अन्य सारे प्राणी महज अपनी मूल प्रवृत्ति के अनुसार परीस्थितियों से निबटते हैं जबकि मनुष्य सामान्यतय प्रवृत्ति के इतर औचित्य की कसौटी के माध्यम से अपनी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करता है।

सदियों की कशमकश ने मनुष्य को एक सामयिक समझौते के तौर पर गणतन्त्र में आस्था दी। स्वतन्त्र सोच का प्राणी एक दूसरे व्यक्ति को अपने उपर शान करने की इजाजत दे, यह निश्चित तौर पर एक अस्वाभाविक प्रक्रिया है। लेकिन जैसा कि चर्चिल ने कहा है कि Democracy is the worst form of governance, yet it is better than all that has been tried out till date”.  विश्व में महज् 36 राष्ट्रों में गणतान्त्रिक प्रणाली कायम है। अन्य लगभग 200 राष्ट्रों में आज  भी एक इकाई का शान ही चल रहा है, गण का नहीं। 

जब हम एक तीसरे व्यक्ति को अपनी जिन्दगी के अहम् मुद्द्दों पर फैसले करने की इजाजत देते हैं, तब तराजु के दूसरे पलड़े पर जो सन्तुलन बनाये रखने का बटखड़ा होता है, वह है विश्वास या MUTUAL TRUST का। गणतन्त्र की आधारशिला वह MUTUAL TRUST  ही है । आज भारत में यह बटखड़ा तो तन्त्र से गायब हो चुका है। धोखा व झूठ के सहारे सन्तुलन बनाने का उपक्रम ही जारी है।

हाल में मारे गये पुलिसकर्मी तोमर की मौत ने इस MUTUAL TRUST की कमी को ऊंचे स्वरों में व्यक्त किया है।

अलग अलग गलियारों से अलग अलग स्वर सुनाई पड़ रहें हैं। गण के एक बड़े हिस्से को सरकारी संवादों में षडयन्त्र की बू मिल रही है।

आम आदमी ने तन्त्र पर से अपना विश्वास खो दिया है। तन्त्र येन केन प्रकारेण मुख्य मुद्दे से इतर कुछ अन्य मुद्दे खड़े कर मुख्य मुद्दे को DILUTE कर, गण को दिग्भ्रम कर पूर्वव्रत यथास्थिति  में ले जाकर अपनी जिम्मेदारियों की इतिश्री करने के प्रयास में है। तन्त्र के पास स्थिति को सुधारने की इच्छा का अभाव व महज स्थिति से निबटने का इच्छा ही सर्वोपरि दिख पड़ रही है।

इस अविश्वास के माहौल में सही गणतन्त्र को बचाये रखना एक अत्यन्त दूष्कर कार्य है। आज महज दामिनी ही नहीं हमारा गणत्न्त्र  भी कराह रहा है और पुकार रहा कि I WANT TO LIVE”

A New Chapter




एक नया अध्याय
आज किंचित रोष के साथ पूछती हूं
अब आज कौनसा घर, घर है मेरा
कभी एक दिन तुम्हारा पाणिग्रहण कर  
मैने अपना चिर परीचित नीड़ त्याग
तुम्हारे घर को अपना घर स्वीकारा था
महज तुम्हारा घर ही नहीं,
उस दिन से तुम्हारे सारे सम्बन्ध भी
तब मेरे थे
मेरा प्रथम परिचय मेरा नाम
तक गौण हो
तुम्हारा नाम ही तब मेरा परिचय था
आज तुम्हारे परित्याग के पश्चात
तुम्हारे परिचय से बद्ध
सारे सम्बन्ध
मियादी उधार की रकम सम
लौटा रहीं हूं
उन क्षीण होते छवियों की छाया से भी परे
कहीं किसी त्रास से अनभिज्ञ
आज मुझ अपरिचित के लिये
यह भी एक अवसर है
कोई जय या पराजय नहीं
बस एक नया अध्याय है
मानो एक नये मोबाइल फोन की
नयी Contact list बनानी हो।
कुछ पुराने नाम delete करने होंगे
हां आज एक बेहद छोटी Contact list से शुरु कर
उन रिक्त स्थानों को भरने हेतू
कुछ नये नाम तलाशने होंगे
मेरा अपना भी अब फिर एक नया नाम
एक अपने नये परिचय की शुरुआत होगी
हां इस बार के मेरे नूतन परिचय का अवलम्ब
स्वय मेरा अपना व्यक्तित्व ही होगा
मुझे रचना है एक मजबूत व वृहद् व्यक्तित्व
अटल निश्चय व अगाध धीरज
हां, ये ही अब मेरे सम्बल या शक्ति स्त्रोत हैं
आज नहीं चाहती मैं किसी वृक्ष की छांह
अब सूरज को ले अपनी पीठ पर
अब मेरा व्यक्तित्व ही
स्वयम् अपनी छाह बनायेगा।
विगत इतने वर्षों का अपव्यय
और इस अन्तराल से जुड़े
लेन देन या के लेखा जोखा
नहीं लेन कहां इन दस वर्षों में
सारी राशियां सिर्फ देन के खाते की
ही तो रही हैं
एक पतिव्रता के धर्म में
लेने का धर्म कहां
खैर उस एक column की बही का
विसर्जन, एक मृत देह के विसर्जन सम
मृत्यु के पश्चात एक और पुनर्जन्म
मेरे नये जीवन गंगा की गंगोत्री है ।
अब आज जिस घर की मैंने नींव रखी है
इस घर की एक एक ईंट मेरे सत्य की साक्षी होगी।  
हां जिन्दगी के मोड़ पर फिर कभी अगर मिले
तो तुम मेरे रोष नहीं अपितु दया के पात्र ही होगे।
क्योंकि एक शक्तिशाली व्यक्तित्व को
सिर्फ दया ही शोभती है।
रोष या प्रतिकार नहीं।

Confessions of Ram lal

Confessions of Ram Lal.
Ram Lal opened his mouth after eight long years. He has been secretly blamed for the loss of face of MMS the PM of India by the INSIDERS. There has been widespread perception that MMS’s image has taken a sever beating.
People in the know are aware that it is Ram Lal who is responsible for MMS the PM’s image. Let me tell for the uninitiated that Ram Lal is the Make Up man wh

o makes up faces of the VIP’s play acting in Indian Parliament. So obviously they believe that it is ‘he’ who is to be blamed for the beating that MMS’s image has been taking lately.
He has been on this job since several decades. This is his worst period. After being continuously criticized/needled/prodded for eight long years he broke his vow of silence and blurted out.

His confession or guilt plea is as under.

Sir JI I have been doing faces since last 65 years. Earlier I had faces like that of Pt Nehru. An apple complexion Kashmiri. It was a child’s play to keep up his image. A brush on the face and a rose in the tunic and voila it was done.
Now Sir Ji, with MMS being a spectacled Sikh a Makeup man is severely handicapped. His only workable anatomy is his nose. A Hairdo will not work with MMS due to Turban. With Indira JI I had given a white streak in her hair,that did wonders to her image. With Vajpayee JI, I could do facials,that’s negated because of MMS’s Beard. Spectacles restrict the available Artists Canvas i.e. the working surface even further.

I suggested him to go on a diet to have a lean mean look, but he ended up with a shriveled up look. Reason is he has been asked to take the “Fall” for the state too often. And has ended up with several and frequent apologizing bouts e.g. 1984 Anti Sikh Riots, Dismissal of Jharkhand Government, Beni Prasadd Verma’s Misdemeanor and several such others. If he is kept on short leash and made to take fall so often he would certainly end up looking wilted. So others also must pitch in and assist me in my assignment of keeping the PM i.e.MMS have a Nice and Shining image.
Besides I am responsible for the image till one opens his mouth. I did the Face of “Barfi”. See two women fell for this guy. Of course he was deaf and dumb through out his show . Hence I could take the full responsibility.
MMS’s face loss often results when once in a while he desires to shed the “MUTE” profile.

So at this juncture blaming me for his face loss is not 100% accurate. He must retain his “MUTE” profile for me to be 100% responsible for his image.
I as a spectator to this POLITICAL CIRCUS that goes on in the name of Governance would suggest Mr MMS wearing of a Red Nose. In any circus the clown enters the arena with a Red Nose and draws major applause. It would help MMS too, in pushing up his rating.

Marketing of GOD



Today the commodity most aggressively being marketed is “GOD”.
My this reaction is borne out of an advertisement inserted In certain Hindi daily today. The Advertisement reads “
बाबा रामदेव का विशाल जागरण एव भजन संध्या It is being organized at a newly constructed and yet under construction aka expansion Runuchi wale Baba Ramdev temple on the National Highway halfway between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack .
Any act of worship is essentially a Childs wail/cry to attract the attention of his/her mother. If the Mother needs an amplifier to respond to her child’s call, she is no mother.
It is a BIG Budget program. The money could had been better utilized to serve the society instead of being usurped by a few Fat Priests.
This advertisement is a solus colour advertisement at the top of the Front page hogging the Head Line space. It is displaying among other things names of people who have proudly lent their name and money to the said Blitzkrieg marketing of one of the several Hindu Gods.
Today there are principally three Brands of GODS being marketed in the human world. Animals have no need of a God.
1) Christian GOD. It is being marketed largely courtesy FDI in India. The amount of money being pumped in proselytizing or marketing this GOD in India defies laws of gravity. Only most of it is in FDI with no ‘Mamata/Mulayam opposition or Tantrums’ against this FDI. It is largely an Incentive driven selling. The marketing/selling agents get huge incentive for each sale notched or a new counter/dealership awarded..Their marketing strategy is based on its Mission Statement as Stated by its CEO/Protagonist aka The Pope i.e. “Conversion is the basic tenet of Christianity”
2) Allah. The most feverishly and aggressively marketed GOD. The tag line of its Marketing Agents viz., Sole sellers, distributors and pavement hawkers is “Fear is the Key”. Fear of Allah, Fear of West, Fear of Democracy, Fear of Free Thinking etc., are the different Fear Keys used as Marketing Tool for this product. Fatwas are the regular Market Research Inputs provided by its Marketing Think Tank personas. The infighting among its several different Regional Marketing Heads has dented its credibility severely. This brand too has certain amount of FDI yet it is significantly less than the first product i.e. Christian GOD.
3) Bhagavan: Hinduism has very little PHOREN money. It is largely being marketed by domestic peddlers. Without much FDI in this Product it is being marketed through old and traditional petty corner KIrana shop. It is largely sold as Do-It-Yourself kit. One is free to assemble its different components as per his own percepts. The shape and form are not rigid. Today they are crying hoarse that they are losing footfalls in their small and dingy shops because of the Swanky Showrooms set up by other product marketers courtesy FDI. Yet Being an old and established brand it is able to retain its market share without much fan fare. Though it’s market share has shrunk slightly during the last sixty years.
